The Hearby app

Hearby sends nothing you select or read anywhere. Speech is generated on your Mac. License keys are checked inside the app, offline.

The app connects to the internet only to download its voice files once from GitHub and to check for updates from GitHub.

What the website keeps

For waitlist sign-ups, we keep your email, the use you chose, your country for the UK and EU list, the link you came from, and the time you signed up.

For purchases, we keep your email, name, billing country, amount, Stripe order IDs, your license key, and the time of purchase.

To limit license-resend requests, we keep protected hashes of the email address and visitor IP, with the request time.

Payments and emails

Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe has its own privacy policy. We never see or store card numbers.

License and waitlist emails are sent through Resend. The site is hosted by Lovable.

Cookies and analytics

The site uses Lovable's built-in analytics to measure visits. Lovable's hosting also sets a cookie named __dpl.

Your browser uses session storage to keep the first campaign link for the current visit so we can record where a purchase came from. This is separate from cookies.

How we use your information

We don't sell your information or share it beyond the services described above. We email the waitlist only about Hearby becoming available.
